home alarm systems? What is the point of having a home security alarm system, all a thief would have to do is cut the outside telephone line and than when it triggers the alarm company would not get notified, and no police would respond.
Home Alarm Systems? My husband and I have cell phones and really don't want to get a home phone. Do you have to have a home phone line to have a security alarm for my house? If you don't have to have one, do you know an alarm company that will operate with just having our cell phones?
My question is about Home ALARM Systems? (please see below)? I moved into a house with a ADT installed Safewatch Plus alarm that has all windows and doors monitored. The previous owners did not give us a code or any instructions, so we never use it. It has power and shows red and green lights as things open and close; so it is functioning. I DO NOT want to pay for a company to monitor it, but I would like to arm and disarm it at night while my family is sleeping. PLEASE, ...Does anyone know how I can reset it or get it working again without hiring a monitor Co. because they want to reinstall a new system and have monthly fees?
Home alarm systems? Which company, and why that company? Who is the best company to go with. I want to know who and why you chose the company that you use. Please be detailed, but you don't have to go crazy with details. What accessory options do you have, and recommend? Basically, I am looking into getting one, I also have a building that would be hooked into the works. Thank you. 10 points will be awarded well, it is not becaue I am trying to save on my insurance, it is because I am not home a lot, and I would feel better at least having some eyes of some sort watching my place. My budget is alright. Im not rich, but I am above average. I live in a single family house which I am buying, and I have a building that is about 65 feet from my house, my shop which will also be added in. I live in a good area, one of the better areas in NC to live in. USA What I have that is worth protecting, is simply my house. household stuff. to protect against fire and theft. There will be no wires showing, that would eliminate the purpose of having it in my opinion.
Serious answers only, please. Home alarm system problem........? We have a home security system that was installed 13yrs ago. The company is out of business. The alarm system is hooked up throught the phone line for monitoring that is not in service. We have cable, along with the digital phone which is ran through the cable. Whenever cable goes out, the alarm sounds. Is there a way to disconect the phone line from the alarm system? There is a locked box in one of the closets and I cannot get into it unless I break it, which then I don't know what will happen and not too sure what wire to cut. Cable company and phone co. have no answers. Alarm companies tell me it's not their system, so I am out of luck there. Any electrical techs out there to help me? There is no bypass on the keypad for this function. I tried that already. It has to be disconnected throught the line somewhere.
Your opinions.....Best Home Alarm System? Since a recent break-in of my garage, i was wondering what home alarm company does the best job and is affordable for the the service they provide? I would love to just get a trained german shepard but i have 3 cats..... unless the money i spend to get a puppy (so i can train it around the cats) will equal to the amount to what I would spend on an alarm system. what is your opinion?
Home Alarm: How do I turn BEEP noise from control panel down or off that emits when entering alarm code? I have a "safewatch plus" home alarm system by ADT. I do not have it monitored, but it functions properly. I have been able to turn the "chimes" off that sound when opening a door, but it makes a loud BEEP when you enter each code numeral into the panel and wakes my baby boy. Is there any way I can turn the BEEP down or off without paying $135 per hr. for a tech to come to my house and do it? Would it be easy to relocate panel to another wall if your "handy?"
Commercial/Home Alarm System/ are they worth it? How satisfied are you with your alarm co. you've chosen. And what are the things you hate most about having an alarm. And leave the dispatchers out of it just doing our job! I would say what alarm co. but don't want calls from yahoooooooo Answers trying to get free service.. And I know there's allot of you. I probably talk to most of you who have trble shutting your alarm off or calling in with your passwords. We service through out California, so let me know your likes and dislikes of owning an alarm. And for those who are thinking of getting one read your contract before making any decisions. PS. If your fire alarm or burg alarm goes off and its a false alarm please notify alarm co. A.S.A.P. especially for fire, most fire departments do not cancel, and check and test your alarm once a month to see if we are receiving signals. E-mail me if you have any questions... My home Alarm system...? my house's alarm system has a thing so that even when the alarm isn't set, a little beep noie goes off whenever you open a door or window....what an i do to my door so that just that door wont set off the beep?

Place them on your front porch, along with a copy of Guns and Ammo and NRA magazines. 3. Put a giant dog dish next to the boots and magazines. 4. Establishing home alarm monitoring without tel line? I have not had regular telephone service in years. I want to connect my home security system to a monitoring service. I can't justify paying the $40/mth just for the use of the monitoring svc. Has anyone used a straight (not VOIP, vonage, etc) internet connection for alarm monitoring?
I need help on installing an alarm system on my home.? First, is their anyone who can install a security system that i am looking to buy, for my home in Central Florida? If not, is their someone here who can guide me in doing this? My home is already pre-wired and contacts are already on windows and door.
Do I need a new alarm system or just an update? If I have a home alarm system (probably 15-20 years old) wired into my house and is not activated, how hard would it be to reactivate it? I still have all the sensors attached to the windows and doors so I guess all the hardwiring is done. Would I need to update the wires along with a new keypad? Do you know how much it would cost to update it? Thanks
