Interior Design Questions
Interior Design? I'm a sophmore in high school and I want to go to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and major in Interior Design. Does anyone go there and could tell me anything? What is the highest math I should take, and what sciences should I take? I'm in Algebra 2 right now and I can either go on to Pre-Cal and Calculus or take Trigonometry and Senior Math. ( very leaning towards trig and senior math, i hate math ) but I want to be the best at my career. Any advice of anything having to do with Interior Design is appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Interior design? what opportunities does a 30year old person with a BFA degree of interior design have? I will be transfer to University next semester. Since i have majored in this subject i know i need to get some experience in this industry while i am in school, however it was so hard to find a part-time job in this industry. what jobs are relate to interior design??

Interior Design? I need to find some "rules" of interior design... expecially laws/rules that deal with colors. - A website that teaches the rules would be great.... SCAD interior Design? if i attend scad for interior design will i be able to become a liscended professional in interior design. Their not accertited in interior design but their program is really good. if i go there for interior design will i not be able to get liscened in the end? Since I am 25 years old already I am concerning my age will be the obstacle in this industry. I knew that in London, most of their requirement to hire beginning interior designer have age limited. The oldest one that I have seen was 25. it that true in US???

Interior Design Position job applicable position? If you were hiring for an entry level Interior Design Position would you consider employment for Norwalk Furniture experience in the Interior Design field? I am currently trying to get work with an Interior Design firm but keep the Catch22 of job placement- No experience? Well we wont give it to you. I want to work here but it is based off commision and the base salary is 14,000 less than what I am currently making. The main reason I am interested is for the experience. Do you think it would be considered experience or just dismissed as sales/ retail work?

Interior Design School: Where to start? I'm very interested in enrolling in an Interior Design School. Anybody have any suggestions. Interior Design advice in California? I live in the Los Angeles Area and am looking to transfer from a Community College to a University or Cal State Spring 2009 (hopefully sooner). I am looking for a reputable school for Interior Design that I can obtain a BFA in Interior Design/Architecture. I looked at CSUN but they offer a Bachelor's in Family Science which I thought was weird. Of course there is OTIS and PARSONS which I would love to get into but couldn't ever afford. What options do I have? I need to stay within the area or at least within the State of California as I do not want to pay out of state tuition. Any advice on schools, financing, scholarships?? I barely have a 3.0 GPA and after this semester it may go down a bit but I do have talent and already am building a pretty decent portfolio. Please share your thoughts....I need advice in a bad way. Also, do designers have much success with certificates only?

Interior Design Course... Which one??? I am looking for a home study Interior Design course. But there are quite a few, all vary widely in costs and details. I am a complete beginner to Interior Design, but am hoping to gain an accrediation or Diploma that is recognised among the public and/or Work placements. Interior design for a tattoo shop.? My husband and I are moving to PA to open up a tattoo shop. We're kicking around ideas for different interior design plans and I thought I'd come on here and get other opinions and ideas from all of you. So, what is it in the initial 'look' of a tattoo shop that makes you decide to go in? Once you're in, what in the interior design makes you want to stay in and begin the tattoo artist 'interview' (the point where you talk to the artist and decide if they will be the one tattooing you) process? I'm interested in online interior design/decoration degree ( 1 year) I have never taken any online courses, and am very hesitant to just go for any.Currently though my only option is online. Is " Interior design" degree useful?? Is " Interior design" degree useful for me( 25years old foreigner)?? I dropped out of school 10 years ago, mainly because of depression and social phobia. Because of my social phobia and because I was in a bad brainwashing friendship in my twenties, I have never had a lot of social experience. I started to go back to school this years and I am 25 years old by the way. However, maybe this is pathetic and I'm fooling myself.I really regret not experiencing when I had the chance to stay in school. That's not my only reason for going back to college, as a foreigner and English is not my first language. I want to complete my degree and get an education. It just kills me that if I had just gone back when I was even 18, it would be fine. I've even considered lying about my age. I feel like my twenties were stolen from me, and although I want to be realistic,,,so is the interior design will work fine to me for the rest for my life???
