Basement wall repairs?

my basement walls are now waterproofed and dry (leak was on the outside foundation) but they are flaky and pitted. I need to have them repaired. What is involved and what kind of cost am I looking at? Its an old poured wall basement c.1920. Am not remodeling basement for living space but just to have a nice clean appearance with laundry/storage. Thanks for your help.

  1. Cheapest would be to scape/wire brush the surface, treat it with muriatic acid and then paint. Most expensive would be to fur out from the wall and install drywall.
  2. remove all the flake..then look for a compound called " sure-wall"- u Can get it or something like it at home depot or lowes. u mix it up like motor and apply with a trowel or u can use heavy gloves and apply by hand. it has fiberglass in it and it will give the appearance of a stuccoed wall. very very durable. lic. gen. contractor
