remodeling bathroom tile?

Found brick and old tile under existing tile. Can tile be put over these? What product is the best to adhere tile to brick and old tile? Also, are there extenders for the faucets, since this will take up room?

1. I'm wondering why you won't remove the old brick & tile instead of trying to put tile over it. Why not remove the old surface and start new and fresh.
