roofing tar and roofing cement removel from skin?

i have been roll roofing, using tar and asphalt cement and i tried used gasiline soaked rags to try to clean it from my hands but i still have a lot of black on me. does anybody have any good home clean up tips they can share?thanks

1. Short of using turpentine, I think you're just going to have to let it wear off, sorry.
2. nail polish remover takes almost anything off your skin.
3. I just cleaned roof tar off of my hands today. A product called OOPS worked incedibly well.
4. Well, I myself am an industrial roofer. So from experience Ive always used some gasoline to clean it off, but paint thinner also helps too.
5. Mayonnaise works rather well .Rub it in and work it allot and it will cut the tar. Works great on your hair also.
6. You need to use turpentine. Dissolves it right away almost.
