does new plywood have termite (for re-roofing)?

I am going to replace my roof and do a termite fumigation. What is the best / better sequence? The roofers all said to do the fumigation first. The termite companies said it does not matter, but mostly said to do the fumigation before re-roofing also. The roof will receive a layer of playwood, and I am not sure if it has some chance of carrying termite. Then, the termite would remain if I do the roof after fumigation (making the money spent less effective). Another option is to do the fumigation after the plywood is placed on the roof, but before the composite roof (note this type has no wood) goes on it. This would require coordination between the 2 contractors. Please help. Thank you.

  1. I am in a quandry over termites myself right now, and because of all the research, have found that there is a product called "Bora Care" that can be applied to new construction and is a treatment that can protect the treated wood for over twenty years, some even claim life time. I would look into this product, wish my home was treated with it!
