north carolina law as it aplies to instalation of roof mounted solar panels within a home owners association?
does anyone know about what restrictions might apply in the north carolina area (lower east corner of the state near coast) that might hamper me from installing a rooftop solar system i am considering moving to a homeowners association controlled comunity thanks 4 the reply but i'm more concerned with the north carolina law side of it since "H.O.A"s have been known to bend the rules in their favor as they see fit in the past

- Ask the homeowners assn.
- THE QUICK WAY IS TO CALL THE CITY BUILDING INSPECTION DEPARTMENT AND ASK THEM. THEY ARE THE ONES WHO WILL DETERMINE WHAT THEY WILL ACCEPT. IF THEY OVERRIDE THE STATE CODE, THE CITY CODE IS IT. THEY USUALLY WILL GO ALONG WITH DEED RESTRICTIONS OR HOME OWNER ASSOCIATION RULES THAT PREVENT INSTALLATION OR DETERMINE COLOR. ECT.
