Compare Timberline and Elk roofing material?

Which is best? timberline, and elk roofing material? what are the advantages/disadvantages of each? I live in Kansas city where we have ice, extreme heat, high wind and large hail. which roof stands up the best?

1. I live in new mexico we get hotter heat just as bad winds but you get more ice. Never used elk but have used Tinberline. go with that one I trust them... PS last week we had 80 mile gusts...didnt lose a single shingle...
