Flooring Costs?

Just looking for a rough estimate, but how much would new flooring (laminate or cheap hardwood) cost for a 900 sq foot home? DIY cost, but as well, if we hired a contractor. The floors are in an OLD log home and are uneven. Obviously this will be more costly. Better to get a pro to do it in this case?

1. DIY $3.00 to $5.00 a sq foot for pre finished hardwood flooring. Have you looked at your local flooring stores. Any of them will give you a range of rough estimates. Depending on what you mean by "uneven" you may be looking at more than just new flooring. Is the structure under the floor in good condition, sub floor, joists etc. We live in a log home and love it, good luck.
