How do you remove cured glue from bamboo floors after installation?
The floor is down and looks beautiful but I am having a great deal of difficulty removing the adhesive that got on top of the wood floor during installation.

- sand it and refinish the touched up areas with poly urethane
- Lacquer thinner, VERY carefully
- Whoa I do not know.
- dani, how do you know the glue still doesn't have a disease?---lol
- Acetone works wonders on most adhesives. Try applying it to a scrap piece before you go ruining the floor though.
- Acetone takes off superglue from stuff. Perhaps you can test it to see it if works and doesn't ruin the floor.
- mineral spirits works (paint thinner)
- Be very careful with strong solvents. I take it this is a prefinished floor? The best thing to do is ask the manufacturer of the floor or glue what will remove excess glue safely. Most likely mineral spirits will be adequate and safe for the finish. Better to test it on some scraps. Make sure the finish does not soften. Keep the doors and windows open while cleaning up and wear an organic vapor respirator.
