how to get rubber back carpet off of plywood floor?
what is the best way to get rubber back carpet off of a plywood floor that is glued down?

- Take up the plywood and throw everything out. Why would anyone glue a rubber back carpet??
- The way i have always done it is pull up the carpet then scrap off the excess rubber with the glue. You should be able to get it good enough for new carpet.
- sounds like someone is gonna be scraping for a while. I'd try pouring some non-toxic products on it to loosen it up. goo-be-gone or something like that. Easiest thing I can think of is to use an orbit sander or even rent a hardwood floor sander, Im assuming you peeled the carpet up.
