Will Rubber Back Area Rugs Stain Pergo Floor?

We just put in a new laminate pergo floor and we were wondering if rubber area rugs would stain it.

  1. Do not ask the retailer.!...Call the manufacturer of the flooring. Pose the question to them. I could tell you anything, but, if I am wrong I will not guarantee your floor.....
  2. There is a good possibility. You are best to also purchase a suitable carpet to hardwood padding, They generally are very thin, also a tannish rubber waffle type material, but should not stain the wood. You may notice some dulling over time, but you can buff that out.
