How to get rid of rubber stains on floor?

I have bought dining chairs with some rubber attached to the end of the legs to prevent scratching. However, noticed whenever I move the chairs, the rubber tends to make a mark on my floor. How to get rid of these rubber marks?

  1. Cooking oil or nail varnish remover if the floors are marbled or tile. Do not use on wooden floors. Hope it works!
  2. take the toe of your shoe- tennis shoes work best, and rub gently with a little pressure on the rubber mark, back and forth. This should remove it without scrubbing anything, works on all floor types, except carpet.
  3. Many years ago Military shoes had black rubber soles - DI's took great pleasure in making us clean the marks they made on the floors, we used water and steel wool - a brillo pad should work nicely.
