how do i clean rubber floor mats?
they are stationary floor mats. The kind that are used in martial art studios.....thanks for the help

- It depends on what they are dirty with. If it's just general dirt, wash 'em like you would a floor. Vinegar (dilute with water) will clean 'em great- organic and non-toxic, cuts mineral stains, oil, grease, and gets rid of odor. Or you might try using baking soda and windex (don't use the baking soda with the vinegar). Use a sponge, mop, cloth, sponge mop, whatever.
- For rubber floor mats I take them outside to the driveway and spray on some cleanser like 409. I rub that around and then let them soak a little while, Then I take a garden hose and spray them off.
- The best way is with a steam cleaner, and the next best way is with hot soapy water (dish-soap)and then rinse them off.
