Multi-colored Roof Shingles?
I have seen a couple of houses with asphalt roof shingles that have multiple (2 or 3) different colors at random intervals. (A few reds mixed with green and tan) I really like the look of them and am wondering if shingles are sold like this or have they used different batches to achieve that effect?

- no they are sold that way. i just had my roof replaced with what is called a Architectural Style Shingle, they are multicolored and available in many many colors. They really make a big difference in the appearance of your home
- They've got so many cool styles out now that it hard to choose, and if you looking to get a new roof put on go with dimensional's they look raised up, there are no water tabs, and a huge selection of colors.
- Most likely they are one type of shingle. They're called architectural asphalt composition shingles. Around my area, most homes have Tamko brand shingles on the roofs. If you go to www.tamko.com you can see the different styles that they offer. Herritage 30 is probably the most common.
- You can buy them that way. We bought 3 different shades of gray and it came out beautiful.
