Can you build you own home security system?
Installing the cameras, sensors, wires, etc and then connecting it all to a main computer and then set up the wireless alerting devices - notifying you and then the police department? Is this a difficult project but worthwhile since there is no need for a monthly fee that you pay with other security systems?

- They do have all that stuff available but it is not fool proof. If you are in need of security that bad you should just pay a company that does it professionally. If you want the police notified. If you want to perter burgulars you could put that stuff up and then have motion detectors that make an anlarm sound. There are lost of stuff to use to keep your home secure. Depending on how much you need to have your home protected depends on whether or not you need to pay a fee.
