computer led lights?

okay, i have an led light laying around here somewere and i want to put it on the front of my computer as a power led light, see i have a custom computer with a gigabyte technology case, ya its unheard of cus its japaneese or sumthin, its sweet though, anyways, i want to put the led light on the front as power led light cus like i can only tell if my computer is on if i go to the left side wher i can see the inside wher the fans are that light up, but how would i put a led light on the front, (NOTE) this led light has no cords at all, it just has the negativ and positive prong on it, like where would i connect the light to where i can get some power that is safe?

  1. You can't just plug your LED to the computer and get it lighted. You can try soldering the power-up LED which is getting on along with yours. There are lot of products available which can get lighted using USB.
  2. You will have to connect the LED to one of the power routes in your motherboard. But i am afraid that could cause a power surge because you will need some resistors and wires to regulate the amount of power needed for the LED...
