Will LED lighting be more efficient in the future?
Will the technology of bulbs use less electricity in the future to produce the same results? When are they expected to drop in price?

- LED is already more efficient than regular light bulbs. they use less watts to produce more light...
- Yes yes yes and a lot cheaper aswell. On the market now.
- Best for focal lighting, but with large spaces, stil to expensive. I am not sure of the pay off, but the largerflood lights will last nearly forever as long as the weather doesnt get to them. Have you considered buying them in bulk and building your own light??
- Yes, with an increased efficiency probably over the 10% presently achieved. Already 22% seem to be able to be achieved. That being said, since we will physically not be able to reach the efficiency of 100%, the margin of improvement is in comparison relatively small. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/luminous_ef... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/light-emitt... Don“t expect any more something specacular like swithcing from incandescent bulbs to LED.
- i think fluorescent is more efficient than LED.it saves more lights to a room. but led is more cheaper than fluorescent.
- honestly....led is cheaper and so on....and i know everyone's gonna go ahhhhh! but i honestly think the best way to save electricity and money on lighting is candles call me old fashioned but its true....any way led lighting is available now and is reasonably cheap and yes more efficient but hey everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
