Has anyone had a metal roof/tin Roof replaced.?

Has anyone had a metal roof/tin Roof replaced.Or restored.How much did it cost? My house is 2 stories 2,500 sq ft.No dumb answers please.

Had asphalt shingles on roof, and replaced with metal roof....Did house 3 years ago.....House size 26 X 42..Cost appr. 1400.00 This summer, did the garage....26 X 30 Cost appr 2500.00...Cost of metal really went up. This is bungalow style....My son in law and myself did house in 2 days, and garage in one day.....probably could have done faster if I had more energy LOL. Seriously, I am glad that I made that decision...Put right over top of the shingles, so it's very quiet. Good luck
I've repaired/restored several. My job, for many years, has been offering help with home repairs, for our senior residents. And, in my rural VA location, that means lots of farm houses, with tin roofs, Usually, I could have a contractor do a "sand,seal,paint job. That includes: Make sure all seams are riveted and no gaps, replacing any tin which is too far gone, Sand the entire roof, adding sealant along seam lines, and Paint with a textured paint, which helps seal smaller holes. This usually runs between $700-1100.
