Intriguing conversation had w/ female friend. The term "cable guy" I used upon waiting for cable tv service ... I must admit may sound sexist, but what is the percentage of female field service persons that work on installing/servicing cable tv connections? Actual climbing on roof, crawling under houses cable installations? I work in a utility that I've encountered some female utility (out there in the field) workers that swing a wrench just as good as male utility workers, so I'm not new to the concept. But we both had to admit not having seen any female cable tv installers. Could be we just haven't seen them in our area, but if there are any ... what would you say is your ratio of female to male installers/service persons?
