Typical cost range for garage doors and Installation and roof tear off?

I'm interested in a house that has ragged doors on its two car detached garage. 1) What is the typical cost to replace doors on a two car garage with electric openers? I'm trying to write it into an offer. I know I should get a professional estimate and I will, but later. Should I budget 2K for cost and installation? Is that generous enough? 2) What about a new roof on the garage? What is the typical cost range for a job such as that -remember it is an average sized two car garage.

1. It sounds about right for the garage doors. For the roof you really need to budget between 2 - 3K. It is going to depend on how many layers are currently on the garage and also how good of shape the roof deck is in. Also, what type and style of shingles are you replacing with tab or comp.
2. I wouldn't go less then five for the whole thing but, check with someone fast.
