will low voltage damage led lights?
I have several led strip lights (DC) and am curious if low voltage will damage them. I know high voltage will destroy them if high enough, but it seems when the voltage gets low enough they simply stop emitting light. Does this do any harm to them or am I okay?

- In a word, no. LEDs are relatively simple electronic devices, and can only be damaged by too much voltsge or current. Once the voltage falls below a certain point (particular to the design of the LED), no current will flow, and they will act as an open circuit. The only way damage might occur is if they are powered by a more complex supply circiut that attempts to compensate for the low input and damages itself in the process. If the LEDs are powered by a simple transformer supply or battery, nothing should be harmed, and they will work fine once a sufficient voltage is restored.
