which is better, electronic or magnetic trasfnormers for low voltage lighting?

  1. Magnetics are generally better. They are more reliable and have less voltage drop. However, they will make more noise when being dimmed and are much larger in size. If you are putting the transformer in an attic I would go with the magnetic. If you have space limitations you might have to use the electronic.
