  2. Yes...if the lights have a low voltage, then they are generally dimmer than usual.. an advantage in this case is if you missus is a minger you wont be able to see....
  3. yes, you can better customize the lighting ambience by adding and positioning small fixtures more easily then by putting in traditional fixures/ celing cans. It's easier to tweak the look of the room and to add lights where necessary.

  6. Usually you don't need a permit, professional electrian. It is less dangerous, safer shockwise and property damagewise. Someday they say that we will have LED lighting, which will probably be all low voltage.

  9. I presume you are looking at low voltage halogen sopts. They give as nush light as any other light but are a lot cheaper to run.
