Go to a design center, and they will help you design it and sell you the cabinets you need. They did mine for free, and gave me some good ideas. It cost me 25,000 to redo mine, but we went a little overboard, moving walls and such. Glad we did it though, it made a difference.
It's about $40,000 for good quality cabinets, appliances & counter tops. You can spend less for lesser quality. My mom spent $80,000 back in 1987, but she went all out.
