I have a P.A. Split Stone (bricks) fireplace. How do I clean the brick to get rid of soot above the opening .?

  2. try a tooth brush and TSP full strength. rinse into big bucket below
  3. There is a "Comet like" product called TSP..it's Tri Sodium Phosphate. It works good on bricks, stone & concete. Use a good stiff brush and a bucket of water. Rinse it off good, and it should do the job:) Good Luck!!
