What can I use to take black soot marks off the outside of my stone fireplace. It is old and badly stained.?

  2. try mixing some strong cloths washing detergent and phosphate of ammonia with dishwashing detergent and hook your hose to the hot water faucet for your washing machine and use a strong brissled brush

  4. boric acid ,warm water...stiff br ush...
  5. Any spray on foaming bathroom cleaner does great. The soot rolls down the surface
