What can I use to clean stone fireplace and floors?

I have smoke stains on my fireplace exterior stonework and I need to clean my stone tile floors. What can I use?

1. For the soot on the fireplace mix half water and half bleach in a spray bottle. Spray the fireplace & just let it sit. The soot will dissapear. Do the same with your floor but wet mop five minutes or so after spraying backing away as you go so you aren't stepping in the bleach mixture.
