Can you use a ventless gas log fireplace and have a flatscreen tv hanging above the mantel?

  1. I would not hang anything above it, I have one, and it gets really hot above it.
  2. Yes. It doesn't get hot up where the tv will be hanging. (At least, mine doesn't).
  3. I would check the temperature first. If the fireplace is well insulated it should be okay. Electronics are heat sensitive(why your computer has a fan). Don't leave your t.v. on all the time because life expectancy of electronics goes by hours.
