how can i update my wood burning fireplace to gas fireplace?
how can i do it myself how much would it cost? just saw its not DIY project

- I'd suggest the vent free gas logs. You should be able to purchase them and have them installed by the dealer. Hopefully you already have natural gas or propane gas at your home. They will only need to run a gas line to your fireplace and install the logs and cut off valve. With vent free you can close and seal off your damper and keep 100% of the heat inside your house, very energy efficient. The cost should be around $4-500 depending on the size of the logs you get. I have gas logs and they are really nice.
