Should the EPA grow some teeth and outlaw all wood burning fireplaces? Maybe help financially to replace them?
If the EPA would help low income people (who rely on wood burning for their heat source) with vouchers to get a clean burning heater-could we then ban all outdoor ATV use on public land?

- What kind of tax increase do you suggest? My answer, NO!!!
- Why? At least if a person burns wood they aren't dependent on electricity which ocasionally goes out in winter storms. Or gas which seems to be in short supply for some reason.
- Why? Give us reasons why we might possibly support such forceful and unpopular ideas. Wood fires are usually only used for entertainment and are far less polluting than most other things we can change easily. Why focus on this?
- ahhh, spoken like a good little gorenazi...you would do well in his employ, it seems you have no problem taking people's freedoms and liberties from them. heil gore!
- Why don't we just put everyone under house arrest? Then they can't go out and FU the environment or get stuff to do it at home. Freedom gone, problem solved. Is this really what you want? Because that's were it's going to end up, like it or not. Barry Goldwater put it quite succinctly, "The government that is big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take it all away!" And he should have added, "Since it's easier to take away than give, that will always be the course of action big government will follow." Our nations founders understood this. That's why they divided the government into thirds, figuring no one man would ever get all of them under his control. They didn't count on the damned fools who came after them creating an unelected bureaucracy outside of the control of any section of the government. Ban wood burning? We'd be better off banning bureaucrats, or better yet, burning them. The way we're going that would be an endless renewable resource!
- global warming is a myth!
