i am installing hardwood flooring in a bathroom should i install the toilet flange first or the floor?
THE BATHROOM PLUMBING HAS JUST BEEN ROUGH IN.

- Just to inform you... try to retain the presence of mind to realize that hardwood flooring is generally not recommended for use in bathrooms. Not that it can't be used successfully, YES IT CAN but..... if it's all adults in the house, YES; if there is a family with five kids; potentially no. Have you ever seen warped gymnaisium floors from leaky roofing?!!! Just adding two cents.
- The flange should be in first, that way you aren't going to scratch your hardwood while working on the pipe. It also helps to make a better seal if it is in first. Make sure you have a piece of the hardwood there when you are putting the flange in so you make it the right height. Ideally, it will be slightly above the level of the wood. Not too much, though, or you'll have a rocky toilet.
