  1. You have a problem in the main sewer line from the house. Time to call a drain cleaner.
  2. You need to call a plumber to "snake" out your sewer with a sewer machine, because what you are flushing down the toilet is backing up into your shower drains. Make the call. it is only going to get worse. The rooter man. :-})
  3. if you have a septic tank then it is backing up into the house if you have a sewer then you have a plug in the line going to the street also it sounds like you need to have the toilet wax rings replaced and yes you can put Drano in your toilets
  4. Draino is ok for toilets, but probably won't help in this case. You need to snake out the pipes from the outside cleanout closest to the bathroom.
  5. Drano is no good...its a temporary fix that will eventually cause more problems. It contains harsh chemicals that will, over time, start eating your pipes if used continuosly. You have a clog in the main line. I would reccommend calling a plumber to snake out your sewer line. If you are on a septic tank then you may want to think about when the last time your tank was pumped. If it was over a few years ago it may be time again.
