Bathroom Plumbing Problem.?

When my bathroom tub drains water comes out of the floor from the water vent I guess that is what it is called. Can anyone tell me how I can get this problem resolved? I can not get the vent open either. I don't know what to do please help!!!

3. your lines have some heavy build up you need to have your lines jeted
4. Where is this "water vent", on the floor? Is this in a basement? If it is you need to clean the drain between the "water vent" and the main drain.
5. you have a clogged drain. buy a hand held snake and snake it from the trip lever hole, not where the water drains but the overflow above it (usually 2 screws).that should do it.
6. Time to call a plumber and have your main drain snaked.
7. If this "vent" is mechanical, and lower than at least the rim of the tub, raise it or raze it.
