Bathroom plumbing troubles?
What could cause my bathroom sink, bathtub and toilet drains to all malfunction at the same time???? Liquid Plumber is not helping very well to unclog the sink. I can not afford a plumber. What can i do myself to trouble shoot this issue?

- if you have a cess pool it may be full. with every thing going at once it would apprear that the problem is in the main drain
- Do you have a trap you can get too? Sounds like they are on the same line. Get a handy man out there to pull the plug out and run a snake down it to unclog it. Once in a while I would boil hot water on the stove and pour it down the sink and it cleans the inside of your pipe instead of buying stuff on the shelf.
- If your waste goes out to town sewers, then you have a clogged main. This will require a roto-rooter guy to come to your house and clean it out. If you have a septic system then the tank is full and needs to be pumped out. This can happen even if the system is new. Turns out antibacterial soap can kill a perfectly good septic system. Working septic tanks contain useful bacteria that digest solid waste. Once that dies the solids clog everything. After that, liquid drain opener does nothing.
- i don't think your going to get out of this one without help. try looking for a handyman
- Your bathroom sink, tub, and toilet all use the same drain pipe, which tells me that is your problem. you would need to get the drain pipe to your toilet cleaned. If you can't find somewhere to rent a snake, you'll have to get a plumber to do it. If you are on the ground floor, your main sewer line is plugged up.
- Try snaking out the main line that all three of these things tie into. You can rent a snake at your local hardware store.
- As mentioned prior by someone else, these all use the same drain pipe. In cases of older homes, the sink and tub actually tie into the toilets waste bend before the main stack. Another words, try using a plunger or toilet auger (may not be long enough) first. Hopefully this will losen the clog. If not you will need someone to come out and clear it for you. Hope this helps.
