My plumbing drains are gurgling and allowing air back thru the shower and toilet. Is this a vent issue? Septic

- Most likely you have a blockage somewhere in the septic system. If you can find the top hatch on the tank itself, & see if it is full, if it is not down below the collar where the line from the house enters it then the drain fields are full of dirt, roots, or collapsed. If that's the case then you should contact your nearest septic tank & drainfield Co. They can pump out the tank, & dig up the old drainfields & replace them.
- Well, Paul M answered it exactly as I would have.
- Septic tanks can be drained rather inexpensively. The tank itself being emptied could fix your problem. Probably not anything to do with your lines. BUT - if you've had a lot of rain lately & the ground is saturated - that in itself may be your problem. And therefore, when the ground dries out - problems will be history.
