- You would need a screw driver, philips and flat head, then a plumber's wrench and pliers. You may also need a cutter. Make sure you have Teflon for the tubes or pipes. The instructions are easy to follow. I have installed several already and had no problem following manufacturer's instructions. If you are installing a new one where there is a place ready to receive it, or simply replacing an old one, those are the only tools you need. If there are no existing pipes to connect to, then you would be in trouble unless you know how to do piping.
- Install it next to the sink. You first need to install a special "Y" pipe on the sink drain. That is for the pump out tube on the dishwasher. You need to tie in to the hot water supply. Branch off the sink. The electrical connection is made in the junction box usually behind the skirt panel at the bottom of the unit. You should have a dedicated 115v 15 or 20 amp circuit. Make your connections then slide the unit under the counter. Adjust the leveling feet so unit is up to the underside of the counter with enough clearance for the door to open. There are 2 metal tabs at the top edge of the unit. Attach with pan head screws. Then get wife to do dishes.
