plumbing question....?
Last Friday our neighbors flushed something down toilet and backed up our upstairs bathroom and theirs. We had raw sewage in the bathtub and brown water leaking down into our living room from below the bathroom, which I can only assume was sewage also. The restoration people said that pretty much all of our living room walls and ceilings are still wet. What are the health hazards of living here, if any, while we are waiting for the insurance adjusters to come out?

- be sure that food and drinks are in in good hands. :)
- Well there may be some problems with mold, but dont get to worried as mold can only survive if it has a continious source of moisture. So if the problem is fixed then you should be OK. The problem with mold is when it is thriving in areas of constant moisture and you never see it.
- get yourself a air purifier from Lowe's follow this linkhttp://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productList&No=12&Ntt=air%20puerifer&Ntk=i_products&category=Air%20Purifiers%20and%20Filters&N=0+5000404 this will help clean the air
- mold questions, spray Lysol type stuff about.
- LOTS OF PROBLEMS... with any water damage of any kind, you run the risk that the longer the walls sit wet, the greater the risk of mold growing and causing respiratory problems. add to that raw sewage and you run the risk of bacterial infections form all the nastys in it
