Has anyone bought and tried DIY termite control such as the Pest supply Home choice KIt or the?

Please help cause my eye sight is failing me and I can only read half of the long explanations given in the website and I already have termites in the house. But I can't afford to pay the Professional Terminte Eliminators cause they are not only costly in the beginning, they are also very expensive to maintain after the warrently period.   1. you need the correct tools to do it yourself. We had to drill holes in the foundation with a contractor grade drill and bit, every 18 inches and then pour the powder etc. But that was for preventing termites. since you already have them you need to have you home tented to kill them before they do any more damage. I don't know how old you are, but there may be some assistants out there (veteran? elderly? low income?) You really do need to have someone help you with this project.
  2. It's hard to effectively treat termites without professional equipment. Many home owners that go the DIY route end up buying that treatment and then having to pay a professional to come out anyway. Many of the large professional companies (Orkin, Terminix) have financing available as well. If you choose to do it yourself, whatever you use will have to be thoroughly put in the soil around the house to the depth of the footer of the foundation or else they can come right back. It's a lot of work for DIY.
