Weber Outdoor Gas Fireplace - Opinions Please!?

I am considering purchasing a Weber outdoor gas fireplace to replace my outdoor wood burning fireplace. My daughter loves to go outside and roast hot dogs and marshmallows. I am tried of waiting for the fire to go out (I'm paranoid!) and having wood on hand. I thought the Weber would be a good alternative. Any opinions or experiences you could share? Thanks!

1. I can comment on WEBER products in general. I have been using them since 1975 and have owned several. Currently I have 3 Weber charcoal Grills. The units that I no longer own were donated to people that could not afford to purchase one. The quality is excellent and they hold up well. Weber-Stephens Products has been excellent with support and carries replacement parts. I have not owned an outdoor gas fireplace so I cannot comment on that particular product. Good luck on your research and purchase.
2. You could just purchase a set of outdoor gas logs to put inside your existing fireplace. Be careful cooking food over them though, you don't want to get stuff all over the logs and burner. Heat-n-Glo makes a nice set. www.heatnglo.com
