The valve to turn off the gas to our fireplace is guess where...........in the fireplace. This is very unusual to me. The gas fireplaces I have seen have always had a key to turn the gas on from the outside. The previous homeowner told us to use an oven mit to turn the gas off......Does anyone else have a fireplace like this? Can we add a remote starter so we do not have to put our hands in the hot fireplace?
