Does a gas fireplace with artifical logs require a glass screen door by code?

1. It all depends on the country/ city that you live in, I would contact the place that installed the fireplace or your insurance company .If you have small children visiting or living at your our house you best to get one just to be on the safe side.
2. No, gas logs don't require glass doors.
3. be very careful putting glass in front of ventless gas logs. there is nothing in the gas code requiring a screen.
