What kind of wall mountable TV could be placed above a fireplace without damaging the TV unit?
I want to put in a small fireplace and mount a flat screen tv above it, is there a tv unit that could withstand the additional heat generated from a fireplace? (it would be a free standing fireplace vented out the chimney)

- Seek advice from the tv manufacturer AND the fire manufacturer, there are angles from the foremost flame, height of tv, depth of mantle and other considerations, it can be done, but I really don't recommend you just trust to luck, your insurance would not pay you out if you do it wrong.
