We are considering a Vermont Castings propane fireplace insert. It comes with 30000 BTU's...I think I have that correct, with the option to turn it down. Our livingroom is about 13 X 18. I'm worried that the room may become uncomfortably hot. Any opinions? Also, there's a great deal of styles. Has anyone got an opinion regarding "all black" or antique brass, etc? And you can get one with a bay window and I don't know if that's nicer or not. Lots of decisions! And "radiant" or "circulating"? I understand the pilot light stays on all the time. They say they're very safe.....I hope so! Thanks for any input. gere
