where can you find fireplace inserts and how much do they cost? thanks for the help?

  1. I have been looking at fireplace inserts as well. I currently have glass doors trimmed in brass that I hate. I went to Lowe's to check out what they had, but everything had to be ordered from a catalog. The prices of two that I looked at in the catalog were between $1500 and $3000. I'm just going to remove the doors and keep an open fireplace with a free-standing screen.
