Fireplace inserts question....?
Where can I find economical (cheap) fireplace inserts? I have checked around and it seems only "dimplex" is the only company that sells inserts.....do you guys know of any other store or company? Thanks in advance!

- Just check out woodstoves in your phone book or use craigslist.com or freecycle. I would not recommend buying them online because shipping for a 4' cube weighing a few hundred pounds will be hundreds of dollars. Many hot tub stores near me oddly also sell fireplace inserts. We have been very pleased with our grizzly model Bear insert. However, it is an expensive brand but it is well worth the cost. We went cheap on our last insert at an old house and it really was not good at all. The blower didn't work great, the doors didn't seal right, the glass was wrong and the metal discolored after a few years. I don't remeber what the brand name was of our last insert.
