Painting cabinets?

Any ideas on what color to paint kitchen cabinets if the rest of the kitchen is green? I'm clueless on this. I do know that I don't think I would like white cabinets though. I love the stained look, but it would be entirely too much work to sand and stain them.

1. Have you thought of black? They look great especially if you distress them a bit
2. How about an antique gold? Or if the kitchen is a lighter green, the cabinets could be a dark green. Don't try to match colors or have them too close but try a contrasting color. I want to paint mine, too. Hubby says no. We'll see!!! ;o)
3. You could do a nice crisp white. New Brushed nickel hardware. It would brighten your kitchen up. Good luck!
