Advice for installation of Marble Fireplace Please?

We recently bought an Aurora "Micro-Marble" fireplace from a DIY store. We bought it on impulse and thought it was a good idea at the time. It comes in 6 pieces including the hearth and the back panel. The instructions are very minimal with basic diagrams which only tell us what goes where. There were no fixings, no advice on how to assemble it or anything. It looks to us like we need to use some sort of resin to bond the mantle and legs together, but what do we use? Whats going to be strong enough to hold it? Its so heavy! Its only to house an electric fire, theres no chimney or flue to worry about so it's purely decorative, but it needs to be fixed together, and also anchored to the wall. To be honest, we're regretting buying it, as we really have no idea what we're supposed to do but can't take it back now so we'd best get on with it. Please if you know what we should be using and how to fix it I would very much appreciate your advice! Many thanks & kind regards

  1. you could use white thin-set that's the same thing as installing tile on the walls do not get the premixed one the one you have to mix with water only home depot should have some and apply that to the back of the marble and push it against the wall you would do the sides first or legs then apply the hearth to the legs with the same mortar or thin set and push every thing together but make sure there are no dust no the marble where the thin set would go let it squeeze from the side it's OK then wipe the excess with a sponge and water good luck
