We recently bought a house and discovered we have borers in the roof. Are there any effective DIY Treatment?

  4. depending what they are ,you must make sure that they are gone out of the house and dont have a nest of babies first. If they are not gone get a few hav-a-heart traps this will not kill them. because if you poison them they most likely die in the house.Next go along the prop. and seal up any access holes usually under the soffit ,check for opening on facia board gutter area ect. You can use heavy Gage screen, alum.sheeting and caulk. Their also is a product that you can caulk on called bird off Its real sticky stuff and once is on pest feet they don't want any part of that area.
