Plumbing question if anyone knows the answer, but can enamel-building toothpaste and rinses add to?
plumbing problems. My drains are going so slow, and a few months ago we changed to enamel-strengthening toothpaste and a cavity-fighting rinse. Can the minerals that build strength to tooth surfaces gunk up the pipes? Thanks, Mark.

- I don't know but put some enzyme drain cleaner in it and it will eat all the scum out of the pipes.
- It won't hurt it unless someone is letting chunks of toothpaste go down the drain (but that would happen with any toothpaste). Try pulling out the stopper and seeing if it has hair, mud or toothpaste accumulated on it. You can also grab a toothbrush and clear away any debris around the inside of the drain. If it still runs slow, try removing the pae trap (don't forget to set a bucket underneath to catch the water) and clear it out. Don't forget to apply plumbers tape before reattatching the pea trap. If that does not fix your slow drain, you have a bigger problem somewhere else and should call a plumber. It sould be a broken pipe somewhere and it is starting to back up due to loss of draining area.
